Clever Title

We haven't been doing much lately. Olivers been doing preschool and absolutely loves the craft they do every day so he's started wanting them at home. We decided to make magic wands and went to fort snelling to find sticks. I brought my camera and followed Oliver around.

And Charlie was there too.

And here is a picture from a new Etsy board I love. I never get to posted real edited pictures of them because they have to look like what they actually look like you know... so anyways I really like it.

I lied to your face in the summer

I've been wanting to go to Fort Snelling to take pictures of the kids for a little while and actually drove there to do this the other day and when I got there it started raining. It was sad. So we went for a little walk today and it was funny because the kids were very dirty with food and just.. like kids stuff. But we still got some cute pictures.

So I love this pictures of Oliver and Chad together. They are adorable. Its actually right after Oliver fell down running by chad and that is why he has his arm rolled up in his shirt for the rest of the pictures. Because if he hides it, its some how better? He also does not want to see it.....

Come on Skinny Love

I love seeing these two grow together. Oliver is still rough with Charlie more often then I'd like but Charlie is growing to be a pretty strong little girl. I can't wait to see what their relationship will be like in another year.

I hope it's great.

Oh darling don't you ever grow up.

So Charlie has a baby doll and barbies that she absolutely loves. They are definitely her favorite toys. I've always felt, or at least always wanted to be, very open to my children choosing clothes, colors, or toys because they like them whether they are for "boys or girls". The day I decided to get Charlie a doll and gave it to her she did her crazy happy smile and crawled around with it throughout the day. A day or two after that we went to a thrift store that I like to go to often that has a whole back isle of toys all at kids heights to reach and pick out and such. Charlie was crawling and did the fastest crawl she could with a little squeal to this little doll stroller that had a doll inside of it. I realized then that she really did love dolls/babies. I know I offered cute stuffed animals and probably a doll at some point to Oliver when he was little, and he does like stuffed animals, but not like Charlie loves her doll and barbies. It's been super interesting to me to see how different children are from each other, even when you assume you are doing the same type of parenting for both.

Me and Diddy dripping diamonds like Marilyn

I am posting lots and lots of these same looking photos because I think my kids are adorable and I can't choose between which one to post (and there are more then this on my computer!). Also.. the editing is different then I normally do because I think it looks really pretty and I like it. But I'll probably think its dumb to edit like this in like a year like all photography phases go... but thats why I have the originals saved away. So theres that.

I'd be rich.

For Memorial weekend we were able to head up to Thunder Bay for a few days and we had lots of fun like always! I didn't take a ton of photos, I actually took a lot of photos for a friends business which was really cool and made me want to start doing more photography again.. so we will see.

One Two Buckle my Shoe

I've bought the L shaped green couch from World Market I always wanted! I'm slightly regretting the green because I have to change everything in my living room now. It's a little overwhelming, but I think i've decided on a new color scheme. But... the best part is the L shape because now we have the wall with the doors to the deck open and our porch is a fun place to be this summer. Our upstairs neighbor who use to smoke on her porch about 5 times a day also moved out so we can use it normally for that reason as well!

I'd build a big house were we both could live.

During Charlie's naps sometimes Oliver and I "learn". I ask him the night before what he wants to learn about and then I go and google somethings/print things off and then the next day while Charlie is sleeping we learn about whatever it is. He is super into plants vs. zombies the game so of course once he said plants. Which was cool, because plants are cool in real life. Anyway... we went to home depot and picked out some seeds, came back and put them in jars with wet paper, and they grew! It was crazy how fast they actually grow. Like if you look in the morning compared to the evening they could have grown almost an inch. After they were pretty big in the jar I decided we should probably try transplanting them. I showed Oliver how and then let me go to town. He did a fantastic job and they are growing really well on our porch right now. We should probably get them a bigger pot (there are a ton of seeds in there together haha).

So it was a great time with him and it made me feel a little closer to that homestead life I want some day. Although lets be honest, I'll only be like a partial homesteader, I'm not dedicated enough to be a true one! But land, I'll have lots of land.
