I finished cleaning the kitchen then sat down on our only chair and looked through pinterest for a good dessert recipe but then realized we have no milk and just about all of the ones i wanted to do needed milk. Sad.

I decided to looked through barbara sa's facebook picture albums. I miss her lots and lots.

Darcy kept running up to me and and pawing at me wanting to play. I didn't play with her. Now she's given up and is laying on my lap.

Its actually quite nice outside today. I got warm inside and rolled my jeans up to capris. That made me really excited for summer time.

Also.. chad wanted me to make sure i posted about the ipad 3 being announced on the 7th. He wanted me to post about it forever ago... but.. yeah. So im posting now. If you did not know the ipad 3 will be announced on march 7th. The end.

Today I cleaned most of the house. Specifically our fridge. It some how got piled up with old left overs which needed to get thrown away. It was gross.  But anyways.. after cleaning i got tired of the way my picture frames looked so i switched things around a little. 

We were at the dollar store the other day and i bought a chive plant growing kit. It came with dirt, seeds, and a little pot. But I didn't like the pot and chad and i came up with the idea of putting it inside a book. So we went to di and found some cool old looking books and i cut a square in it, modge podged the pages, put a plastic container inside and planted my plant. The dirt seems real cheap so we will see if anything even grows. But yeah it turned out pretty cool. It was awful cutting through the pages. I don't want to ever have to do it again. haha.

Today we went to di again.. because i enjoy it. I think chad does too, but he wont admit it. He buys things every once in awhile. I have a hard time there though because i don't buy things everytime i go there, i mostly just like to look. But every once in awhile there is a cool thing and sometimes i second guess myself wanting it and then i leave and the next day i go back for it and its gone. Once this was with an old antique looking sewing desk, and a set of plates that were blue vintage nautical ship looking. They were both beautiful. And i regret not buying them. So today there were some plates i really liked and thought about not getting them but decide it was for the best that i did..haha. so here they are. 

 This one is a set of 5 with a little matching bowl. 

 And this one sadly was all by itself. Im not sure what im going to do with it yet? But its way pretty right?!

Here is also a way cool old Robinson Crusoe book chad found us that we brought home as well.

That last one is from a different blog i really like called http://www.allthingsthrifty.com. It has some really good how too's on glazing and painting with spray paint. All the sites i've seen all swear by Ralph Lauren Faux Technique glaze I found it on Amazon for $17 but i guess you can buy it at home depot for about $13.

I'm having a hard time deciding on if i want to do this or not?  Should I?

Its Saturday tomorrow! I love saturdays.

Today i missed all of my classes, because im a baddy.

I also painted my side table....
Im not completely done yet. I need to put it upside down and finish the bottom part. I also need to take the handles off and paint it white. But i think it looks pretty good.

I also bought a new purse the other day. Its pretty cool and was only 7 dollars.

and love comes back around again, its a carousel my friend.

Its Tuesday, which means i have school and work again.. sadly.

This weekend my good friend becky chase came to visit from Utah. I hadn't seen her in forever. It was quite nice to talk to her again. 

We went to idaho falls with adam and ate at 5 guys, our favorite restaurant. 

And i bought primer and gave my side table two coats of it already! I think i'll do one more. And maybe even a fourth on the inside. I think i've decided on yellow as my color...?

Also.. i know i just posted about the new shower curtain. But we got a new one. I love love this one. It was on sale at walmart and it came with a bath mat and such. I also bought a cute little tray thing to go above the toilet and put little tea light candles in it. 

Well.. now im just waiting 40 mins before i have to go to school, then a group meeting, then work, then home at 9:45pm. Yuck. 

Now your just somebody that i use to know.

Today we decided to take darcy for a walk outside. We went to the highschool track by our apartment. It was perfect because there was a cleared path in the snow so there was no where for darcy to run away if she wanted to. She seemed to really like it. Afterwords we went for a little drive on the back roads in the potato farm area. It was nice and sunny.

Its been forever since i posted.

Midterms was this week. Im just glad to know that we are half way through the semester. 

I made a shower curtain out of a white sheet. I used this thing called pin-tucking. I found it on this site. The site shows how to make a duvet cover but i thought it would be cool to make a shower curtain. 

I also found a painting at di i liked, and decided to paint the frame black. 

 And another item i found at di... this side table thing.. im going to paint it some color that i haven't decided on yet.

Here are the colors im thinking. I want a lighter color.

Anyways... thats about all i've been up to. Its a long weekend thanks to presidents day. Im thinking i should probably start working on my side table. Im sooo happy to not have homework or work for 3 and a half days!

Chad and i have started watching x files. It scares me. Its crazy though because its a 20 year old show. 

Darcy's suitcase bed

Alright. I finished darcy's suitcase bed last night. Here it is from start to finish...

Bought the suitcase at DI ($5):

Took off the lid and ripped out the existing fabric:

Bought some fabric at joanns ($9) then cut fabric into strips for the inside and then hemmed the edge:

Then pinned the fabric on the sides with short white pins ($.47):

And finally sewed the last of the fabric into a pillow case and slipped in a pillow:

Here is darcy playing in it. She's still not use to it so we tempted her in with her favorite toy. We woke up this morning though and she was sleeping inside, so i think she's starting to like it.

I adore the holidays.

I got a new phone! My lovely lg shine died and i was due for an upgrade and so i got my phone for 99 cents and started a data plan for $30 a month. Its a windows phone a Samsung focus flash. Not the greatest picture but here it is....

And I started working on the suitcase bed for darcy. I went to JoAnns today and bought some fabric. It was very hard to pick there were so many choices it was overwhelming. I tore out all the lining and then took the top of the suitcase out. It was very difficult to get the top off. It was all super nailed and screwed in.

When we fell in love you made my heart drop and you had me thinking about you nonstop.

The other day: I got out of class and walked up to the parking lot that's at the top of the hill. I threw my backpack into the passenger seat. It hit the parking brake. The car starts rolling backwards. I freaked out. Luckily the hill wasn't too steep and i was able to push against it to stop it and pull the parking brake back up. It was still embarrassing. A car had to drive around me. I put my backpack in the back seat now. 

The day after the other day: It snowed. I had to drive to work and it was really slippery. The car could hardly get up the hill after a stop sign. And.. i slide through a stop sign. I use to think i was a good winter driver coming from alaska and such. I found out this week im not. 

And, This past week: We bought a new rug! The one in our kitchen /dinning room came with the apartment and it was ugly and always looked dirty and didn't match anything. Rugs were on sale for $20 so I had to. right? Its smaller but I like it more, it feels cleaner. 

 Also as you may have noticed.. i've been sewing finally! I took in a sweater i had and then changed an old dress I never wear into a shirt. It turned out pretty good. I've been looking for fabric to make darcy's suitcase bed. I plan on doing that some time soon.

AND.. today i made brown sugar pumpkin cheesecake! Found the recipe on pinterest [http://www.thehungrymouse.com/2009/09/29/brown-sugar-pumpkin-cheesecake-with-chocolate-shortbread-crust/] I didn't use the recipe for the crust, i had an extra crust mix left over from something else so i went the easy way with that. There was tooonns of left over filling so i poured some into a mini cupcake pan and that worked great too.. just make sure you grease the pan because i didn't and we ended up having to eat them out of the pan. 

And... i found something to put in the bowl i bought at HomeSense back in canada. HomeSense by the way is my favorite store ever. But, the oranges are running out. I have to find something new to put inside before its just a pretty empty bowl again.
